The Transformation of Places of Production – AKDN Workplace Seminar in Turkey

As a foggy, misty day, reminiscent of Orhan Pamuk’s novels, settled over Istanbul, we crept in. The occasion was the Aga Khan Development Network’s specialized seminar entitled “Workplace: the Transformation of Places of Production.”

Turkey has a history of strong industrial production, and those of us intrigued about the future of the general workplace gathered to listen and to debate. What makes a workplace anyway? I’m not certain we solved the problem, but we hacked away at the periphery.
