KHOROG, May 16, Asia-Plus — On May 15, an award ceremony for the winner of the competition “GBAO Teacher of the Year” was held in Khorog.
Seven winners of the city and districts competitions (teachers from the Darvoz district did not participate) took part in the regional competitions. The regional competition was held to recognize exemplary teachers who best represent all of Gorno Badakhshan’s teachers and symbolize the profession’s contributions to quality education.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the jury head Karam Parpishoyev said that Ms. Maysara Zardodkhonova, the teacher of biology with the Aga Khan Lyceum in Khorog, had won the competition. She will represent Gorno Badakhshan in the republican competition “Tajikistan Teacher of the Year” that will be held in autumn this year.

I’m extremely happy for teacher Maysara. I believe she as no one diserves it. I had had her as my biology teacher for 5 years and I am aware of all of her professional skills. She’s a great teacher! Way to go molimajon!
