Virtuosic Vocalist Faaria Kherani

Virtuosic Vocalist Faaria Kherani Born and raised in Calgary, Canada, Faaria’s music career kicked off at an early age: she began to play the piano at the age of five years and began singing at the age of nine. Faaria played the flute and trumpet in the high school band and performed in various musicals. A recipient of two Vocal Silver Medals for achieving the highest Royal Conservatory of Music examination grade in Alberta, Faaria went on to enroll at Princeton University, where she was involved in Musical Theatre and subsequently joined the Princeton Katzenjammers, a co-ed a cappella group. The highlight of her performance career has been her role as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, which was staged at Princeton in January 2008. Faaria also sang with the National Ismaili Muslim Choir at the Foundation Ceremony of The Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat in Ottawa, Canada, in 2005.

Virtuosic Vocalist Faaria KheraniFaaria has been accepted at the Johanna Meier Opera Theatre Institute in South Dakota for a summer program. She is enrolled at the Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, for the Academic year 2008-2009 and plans to continue her studies in Religion, Opera, and Mandarin when she returns to Princeton.
