To commemorate Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Golden Jubilee, the Aga Khan Education Board for Canada and the Council for Canada are pleased to announce the launch of the Spark of Knowledge Program. Our hope is that the Jamat’s participation in the Spark of Knowledge Program will increase the Jamat’s understanding of the:
- Global and historical tradition of Ismaili Muslims and how the Imamat and Ismailis have continuously sought and applied knowledge within an ethical framework to realize the social conscience of Islam;
- Work of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and Imamat over the last 50 years.
In addition, it is hoped that the Jamat will recognize the importance of:
- Discovering and managing knowledge in an ethical, creative, and entrepreneurial manner to make a significant global impact;
- Taking an intellectual and personal leap forward on how to manage knowledge as a reflection of faith during one’s lifetimes.
