MOST major hotels in Dar es Salaam are fully booked following the visit of the leader of Ismaili Muslim Community, the Aga Khan, who landed at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) yesterday.

The three-day visit is part of his 50th anniversary since he became the 49th Imam of the community on July 1957, at the age of 20.

A random survey conducted by ‘Daily News’ established that all prominent hotels in Dar es Salaam are fully booked until August 24.

The Kilimanjaro Hotel Kempinski, which has 186 rooms, is fully booked by the Aga Khan’s delegation. Other hotels which are fully booked include New Africa (126), The Protea Courtyard Hotel (52) and Sea Cliff (122).
