Calgary July 14th Jubilee Festival

Calgary July 14th Jubilee Festival

calgary Photos from Jashn-e-Jubilee, A Festival for Jubilee, held on July 14th 2007 at “Jubilee Village” – a site created for the Golden Jubilee Celebrations in Calgary. It is important to note that this site started as a field with absolutely no infrastructure. I dedicate this picture gallery to the numerous volunteers who spent countless hours in service of the Jamat and the Imam to make this happen!

  1. If July 11th was an occasion to celebrate the Golden jubilee, than July 14th was the day to rock and celebrate the organizers and Ismaili Volunteers were unbelievable, Jashn-e-Jubilee proves Calgarians are equal to any challenges, any time.

I was totally blown away by the work of dedicated Volunteers, for Seniors committee, I was told these are the same folks who manage events at the Kirby center and they are the best in Canada, Hats of to the leaders and Volunteers of Calgary for a magnificent Job.

Food was excellent, refreshments a total knockout through out the day, Raas, Garba, sports and entertainment, You Calgarians ROCK.

  2. The Volunteers since day one have worked very long hours and they have gone without sleep. Despite few obstacles they persevered. The Jamat and the Imam are very proud of each every Volunteer. I salute each every volunteer who went above and beyond the call of duty. This shows that our volunteers can face any challenge and come up victorious. Our Volunteers are ready for our Beloved Mowlana Hazerim’s Deedar in Calgary. Bravo! ~Ashif~

  3. Thank-you to Ismailimail for picking this one up. These are my personal pictures and comments, and while normally I don’t like to post such things, in this case I really wanted to highlight the exceptional efforts of the volunteers (as Aziz and Ashif have also stated above).

  5. I would like to add that our Volunteers are united, therefore; they all work very well together as brother and sisters. This makes a huge difference.

Congratulations to the Volunteer members, team leaders, and to the council chairman for IVC and Human Resources for their outstanding job and dedication!!

You have brought back the motto for the Ismaili Volunteers, Work No Words.
