Shaffina Mohamed: Navigating Gardens of Connection @TEDxCalgary 2018

In today’s world of polarizing ideologies, the need to understand each other is critical. Gardens serve as a connecting space, bringing people of all walks of life together to promote tolerance and understanding through the divine beauty of nature. A garden fills a unique need for the community that surrounds it – peace, resilience, hope, interaction, and connection.

With a career that spans building a socially-conscious occupational therapy practice and currently managing operations for her family’s industrial lighting company, Shaffina Mohamed is an entrepreneur, community investor, and people connector at heart.

This video presentation is from sold out TEDxCalgary event that took place on November 3, 2018.
