Lisbon Portugal – Monday, July 9th, 2018: President of the Portuguese Republic, His Excellency Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa hosted a banquet in honour of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan at the National Palace of Queluz.
At the banquet, in the presence of the Noorani family and Government dignitaries, the President outlined how His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan’s understanding of Portugal, its people, history, culture, friendship and values are in congruence with His Highness’ and the Ismaili Muslim community’s ethos. Numerating His Highness’s many contributions to Portugal, His Excellency Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa highlighted three recent “impressive examples” of Imamat engagement in Portugal.
