How Canadians are planting seeds of hope for girls in Afghanistan | Toronto StarThe Taliban is still a looming threat, but a non-for-profit group is teaching girls and women in Afghanistan to change their world.

“Instability is infectious,” says Khalil Shariff, CEO of the Aga Khan Foundation Canada who works closely with CW4WAfghan, “but so is hope.”

And that can be found in CW4WAfghan. And in people like Shamsia Husseini.

“It was very important for me to become a teacher and show the attackers that they did not win and they will never win,” she says. “They cannot stop girls from going to school.”
