Since 2001, Ismailis in Melbourne have been playing Indoor Cricket every week.
Back then it was hard just to find 6 guys to play in a team. Today we have six teams that play regularly. Our teams vary in age and skill. Players are aged from 18 all the way to 44.
This season, the MJK Panthers won GOLD after a solid performance all through the season with 10 wins and just 4 losses.
Led by Captain Husain Bana, the MJK Panthers finished on top and stayed there. The MVP of the Final was Anish Lakhani. The team also consists of Shehzad Bana, Anand Lalani, Akbar Chandani and Aneel Khowaja.
Every season, uniforms and a contribution towards the season fees is sponsored by a Local Jamati business.
This season, the MJK Panthers were sponsored by Aneel Khowaja, Director of Think Higher Migration and Education Consultants. He also happens to be a player of the team.
