Here in Portugal, as in any part of Europe, or in another part of the world where Islam is not known or is not the dominant religion, talking about Muslims is tantamount to talking about terrorists, barbarians, Arabs, fundamentalists, misogynists, or exotics.
They are social representations always loaded with prejudices and misinformation, either because historiography projects these same distorted images, or because the media tends to hegemonize 1.8 billion Muslims throughout the world, despite the languages, customary traditions, interpretations of faith , Or other differences.
