Iqbal (Nick) Mawani of Go Natural Canada awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

Iqbal (Nick) Mawani was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada for the promotion of health care and healthy living and for contributing significantly to expand the use of Natural Health Products over 12 years in Canada.

He is the owner of Go Natural Canada since 2001 and the President of ORCD Canada, a non-profit organization that he founded with others on July 1st 2016. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Ottawa, Canada, in Biological Sciences. He was a Registered Respiratory Therapist with internship at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton and received the award of Academic Excellence in the Province of Alberta by the Alberta Society of Respiratory Therapy. He is also a Certified Natural Health Product Advisor and was on the Board of Directors of the CHFA in the Government Relations Committee.

Nick has met the former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, various former federal Cabinet Ministers, MPs, and Senators several times. Nick is a well-known community advocate for promoting health using Alternative Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto which has now formed integrated Oncology Clinics in Ottawa Civic Hospital and Brampton General Hospital. His Master’s Degree in Public Health dissertation from the University of Liverpool, UK, was accepted in the European Union Public Health Association for poster presentation in 2014. He is now a Doctor of Public Health student with CGPA of 4.0 at Walden University, USA.
