Fayaz Manji, Anar Popatia, appointed to the Board of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, Vancouver

Anar PopatiaAnar is a partner in a family wealth management practice with Assante Wealth Management. Since joining the practice in 2002, Anar has built a strong rapport with clients and infuses all of her projects with enthusiasm. She plays an integral role in client relations and business development.

Over her 15 year career with Dun & Bradstreet, a global leader in business information solutions, Anar received recognition for her contributions to a broad range of industries in Western Canada which earned her numerous Presidential Citations and Sales and Service Excellence Awards. She also played a vital role in an international family-owned wholesale and manufacturing business, working with stakeholders in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

Anar has also held a seat on the Board of Governors at Meadowridge School; Vice Convenor of The Aga Khan Foundation World Partnership Walk; and Member of the Aga Khan Economic Planning Board for Canada.

Fayaz ManjiFayaz Manji received his B.Comm. from McGill University and law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and is a member of the BC Law Society. He is the President and CEO of First Canadian Management Group based in Burnaby, BC which invests and manages hotels across Canada as well as residential care facilities for seniors in BC.

His forte is the negotiation and structuring of purchase/sale of real estate property including related aspects of tax and financing structures. This also includes oversight of overall corporate operations. Fayaz volunteers on various Boards including serving as Foundation Board member at Stratford Hall IB World School in Vancouver. He is an avid ball hockey player and coaches minor ball hockey during the Spring season.
