Renowned Islamic Studies professor Azim Nanji has urged Uganda’s physical infrastructure developers to embrace the culture of their society as they construct buildings. Nanji was speaking at an exclusive lecture at the Serena Hotel geared towards addressing cultural development and architecture. In his lecture, Nanji advised against copying architecture from developed countries because it does not represent the true nature of the society in which the buildings are constructed.
