Anar Simpson is the Special Advisor, Office of the Chair, Mozilla, where she leads the Women, Girls and Technology initiative. She is the Global Ambassador for Technovation Challenge and Strategic Partnership Advisor, U.S. State Department TechWomen program. She is a member of the Advisory Boards of Resilient Capital & the Banff Forum. Anar has served as a member of the Organizing Committee of the C100 which connects Canadian technology entrepreneurs to Silicon Valley and has been mentor with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. Anar has a BSc. Computer Science & MCS Communications is graduate of Program in Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. Anar was awarded the 2015 Distinguished Alumna Award from the University of Calgary.
The UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment was launched in New York at the UN General Assembly on September 22, 2016.
