Nuit Blanche Toronto is a free, annual, city-wide celebration of contemporary art, produced by the City of Toronto in collaboration with Toronto’s arts community.

Toronto’s newest cultural hub is thrilled to open its doors and present projects for Nuit Blanche Toronto for the first time. Visitors can stroll through spectacular architecture and gardens, view the art of Muslim civilizations from Spain to China, sample food inspired by the Middle East, North Africa, and the Indian subcontinent, and take in a lecture or performance that stimulates the intellect and celebrates cultural diversity.
In addition to hosting projects from across the city, Aga Khan Museum, Aga Khan Park, and Ismaili Centre Toronto will present a special program that explores the power of words in the digital age.
Featured Exhibition: Interact with Faisal Anwar’s ‘CharBagh’, a virtual four-part Persian garden using tweets and instagram posts. projected onto the Aga Khan Museum’s walls and in the Ismaili Centre.
Nuit Talk: ‘Houses of Wisdom: Buildings, books and archives in the digital age’. Join Sandra Singh (Chief Librarian, Vancouver Public Library) & Aziza Chaouni (Associate Professor, University of Toronto) for a debate about how libraries in the East and the West can serve as places of creative engagement in the age of social media at 8pm.
