Sayed Anwar Hussaini – a multi-talented athlete and a star student – is an Afghan-Ismaili youth who is currently studying at Nizam college of Osmania University, Hyderabad, India.
Acknowledged by the Afghanistan Embassy in India, Sayed Anwar is a peace ambassador and gold medalist who received the title of Best Student of the Year 2014-2015. He represents Afghan students at Osmania University.
As part of his extra-curricular interests and activities, Sayed Anwar holds a 2nd position in Black Belt Championship. He has received 25+ gold medals through participation in national and international Karate sports championships. In 2011 Sayed Anwar participated in Pakistan International Championship, and in 2015, he participated in the South Asian Championship in India, winning gold medals. He also received a bronze medal in the 2016 South Asian games. Sayed Anwar Hussaini, a star academic student and sportsman, has given various interviews to the local media of Afghanistan and India.
As a youth volunteer of the Afghan Ismaili Jamat and a licensed athlete from the government of Afghanistan and Afghanistan national Taekwondo association, he has given International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) training to girls and boys of Hassan Sabah Jamatkhana’s youth and athletes at the sports gymnasium in Kabul. He has also trained the local police of Hyderabad.
