

When Jenny Gulamani-Abdulla, stepped into the role of President at The Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW Canada), she became the first member of the visible minority to assume this role in Canada. With over two decades of experience in the area of immigration law and procedures, Jenny has embarked on an impressive mission at BPW Canada to bring diversity into the organization and double its membership. “It is time for each one of us to do our part to support diversity and inclusion”, she said.
Named One of Canada’s Most Powerful Women in 2013 by the Women’s Executive Network, Jenny is looking forward to Canada’s 150th Anniversary of Confederation next year after commemorating a Canadian milestone this year, The Centennial Year of Women’s Suffrage, when women received their right to vote. BPW Canada paid tribute to 100 Organizations across Canada to mark 100 years of Women’s Suffrage with Lieutenant Governor of Alberta The Honourable Lois Mitchell, Provincial Minister of Status of Women Honourable Stephanie McLean, The Honourable Kent Hehr, nine Members of the Legislative Assembly and leaders from business and civil society.
