Government of Uganda commemorate 59th Anniversary of His Highness the Aga Khan’s ascension to the Office of the Imamat

The Prime Minister of Uganda Dr Ruhakana Rugunda has commended the role of the Aga Khan Development Network in the development and transformation of the country largely through education and health.

Rugunda says the Aga Khan through his investments will play a vital role towards Uganda’s progress to achieve a middle income status by 2020.

He made the remarks at a ceremony to commemorate the 59th Anniversary of His Highness the Aga Khan’s ascension to the Office of the Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims at Serena hotel on Wednesday evening.
