Friends and family are in mourning after a young man and recent graduate of a business course at the University of Regina, has drowned. Alishah Abdul Maknojia, 23, was at Katepwa Lake Provincial Park, June 21 with his friends. They were playing and swimming in the water when he started showing signs of distress. Maknojia’s friends tried to help him as did a Good Samaritan but they were unable to keep him afloat.
