Houston Mayoral candidates square off to debate city’s future at the Ismaili Jamatkhana and CenterA packed house at the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Center gathered as the five candidates vehemently batttling to become Sugar Land’s next mayor met on the stage for one final clash last weekend before early voting began.

Harish Jajoo, Joe Zimmerman, Myatt Hancock, Kyle Stanley and Sarwar Kahn squared off for one final debate Saturday, April 23 as Sugar Land residents listened intently in order to become more informed candidates ahead of the commencement of early voting April 25.

In a debate live streamed by broadcast partner ABC-13, candidates discussed their views on issues dealing with the city’s aging infrastructure, improving mobility, a working relationship with Fort Bend ISD, term limits, the city’s diversity and more.
