AKU-EA to establish new teaching hospital in Kampala, Uganda – Chancellor His Highness the Aga Khan to preside the ceremony

December 8, 2015 – President Firoz Rasul: Aga Khan University East Africa continues to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of its establishment. The University announces the establishment of a new teaching hospital in Kampala, Uganda. This tertiary hospital will be of international standard providing specialty care in several disciplines. The hospital will also be a training site for doctors, nurses, and other health professionals.

The Government of Uganda has generously provided the Aga Khan University with a grant of land in central Kampala for the establishment of this teaching hospital. A ceremony announcing the land grant and initiation of the Aga Khan University Hospital in Kampala, Uganda will take place on December 17th, 2015 and will be presided by His Excellency President Yoweri Museveni and the Chancellor, His Highness the Aga Khan.
