Calgary-based Strategic Group, under the leadership of chief executive Riaz Mamdani, has enjoyed a tremendous year, with more than 90 per cent of its 4.5-million-square-foot Alberta real estate portfolio leased.
The former Wesley United Church, a local landmark and home to Calgary Opera, is now known as the Mamdani Opera Centre. Named for Riaz Mamdani, CEO, Strategic Group, the three-year partnership agreement announced today will keep Calgary Opera at its historical location while it transitions to a new opera centre at the Youth Campus on Stampede Park. Calgary Opera’s mission is to enhance community and spur civic pride through a variety of opera experiences, and it takes great partnerships like Mr. Mamdani and Strategic Group to achieve this.
