Under the auspices of HRH, Prince Albert of Monaco, Musée Océanographique in Monaco-Ville, Monaco (Monaco Oceanographic Museum) played host to BLUE Monaco 2015 this past weekend, where a special book signing event was held with an opportunity to meet and talk to Prince Hussain Aga Khan and personalize your copy of his book “Diving into Wildlife.”
Also present at the event was Begum Salimah.
The BLUE Ocean Film Festival & Ocean Summit is an international film festival that draws scientists, filmmakers, explorers, and activists from all over the world with film screenings and keynote speakers that highlight the value of our seas.
Prince Hussain Aga Khan – Fine Art Photography
Hussain Aga Khan, an avid environmentalist since he was 12 years old and photographer since he was 22, recently established FOCUSED ON NATURE to share his passion and personal mission of conservation and the urgent need for more research and actionable initiatives on global issues negatively impacting the environment.
An assembly of Prince Hussain Aga Khan’s rainforest photographs from seven countries, entitled Rainforests and including statistics related to deforestation and biodiversity, appeared in three exhibits in the US in 2004.
Prince Hussain’s work has also been exhibited in Paris at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, in Geneva and Verbier (Switzerland), Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
Collections of his photographs have been published in 2 books, Animal Voyage in 2004 (a new editions was printed in 2007) and Diving into Wildlife in 2015.
Some of Prince Hussain’s recent photographs have appeared in several National Geographic Blogs.
Prince Hussain has placed his entire portfolio at the disposal of FOCUSED ON NATURE, a part of which is being offered for sale. Benefits from sales of these limited edition photographs and books are donated to environmental organizations and efforts.
