The Aga Khan Hospital, Mombasa has received Halal Certification for its Hospital Catering services from the Kenya Bureau of Halal Certification (KBHC).Halal certification is given to products, which have undergone inspection by the Kenya Bureau of Halal Certification (KBHC) and have been found to conform to the acceptable standards and other laws that govern food handling and production/ processing.In addition to this, the Hospital is pursuing HACCP certification.Hazard Analysis and critical control point (HACCP) is a systematic approach to identifying and controlling hazards (i.e. microbiological, chemical or physical) that could pose a threat to the preparation of safe food.
