Located in a four-acre beach view, the English Point Marina is an iconic landmark that overlooks the Mombasa skyline in a natural marina basin with a modern design and contemporary feel.
The Sh5 billion resort, which has been under construction since 2009, is now fully operational.
The property features onsite facilities such as a hotel, serviced apartments, conferencing facility, a roof-top restaurant, swimming pool, sea front restaurant of international standard, spa and gym, boardwalk with retail outlets, underground car parking, water-sport centre and a first of its kind serviced marina.
The concept, which is the first mixed use residential marina development in the region, is the brainchild of brothers Al Noor and Amyn Kanji, who were born and raised in Mombasa.
“It’s a journey that started after we procured this piece of land. The thinking wasn’t in place when we were looking at an investment — at the time it was purely business but then we realised what it could do because of its location,” said Al Noor, one of the directors.
