BOSTON, Aug. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — The new feature-length documentary The Music of Strangers: Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) next month.
Renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, founder and artistic director of Silkroad (The Silk Road Project), will attend the world-premiere screening on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at 2:45 p.m. and take part, with Silk Road Ensemble musicians, in a Q&A.
Mr. Ma and the celebrated international ensemble will remain in Toronto for the week for a debut concert at historic Massey Hall on Tuesday, September, 15, at 8:00 p.m., and a residency at the Aga Khan Museum.
The Aga Khan Trust for Culture has been the “Founding Supporter” of the Silk Road Project since its inception.
Prince Amyn Aga Khan continues to be a long standing Patron of the Silk Road Project and has been the member of the Board of Directors for several years.
