
Toronto, 24 May 2015 — Mawlana Hazar Imam arrived in Canada today in advance of the Inauguration of the Aga Khan Park. Hazar Imam is accompanied during his visit by Prince Amyn and Prince Hussain.
Upon his arrival, Mawlana Hazar Imam was received on behalf of the Government of Ontario by the Honourable Michael Coteau, Ontario’s Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport.
Ismaili Council for Canada President Alijah Malik Talib, AKDN Resident Representative for Canada Aitmadi Mahmoud Eboo and other Jamati leaders welcomed Mawlana Hazar Imam on behalf of the Jamat and Imamat institutions.
On Monday, 25 May, the Honourable Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario, will officially inaugurate the Aga Khan Park in the presence of Mawlana Hazar Imam. The 6.8-hectare park encompasses the Aga Khan Museum and the Ismaili Centre, Toronto, and includes a formal chahar-bagh (four-part) garden. The private park is open to the public year-round.

This ceremoney of the Agakhan park in Toronto signifies of the cultural of diversified dimensions and also it will also represent it’s role as a centre of tourirm in which the province of Ontario is so fortunate to encompass the history of Canadian society at large.
