The Globe and Mail | Doors Open Toronto 2015: Architecture critic Alex Bozikovic’s top five picks

Ismaili Centre, Toronto

Last summer, Don Mills welcomed two new institutions, and two remarkable buildings, from the city’s Ismaili community. Doors Open opens up access to the Ismaili Centre: a community and religious centre designed by Indian architect Charles Correa with Toronto’s Moriyama + Teshima and Arriz & Co, it blends delicate ornament with one of the great glass roofs on the continent. Make time to explore the nearby Aga Khan Museum, in a remarkable building by Fumihiko Maki, and the exquisite gardens between the two. 49 Wynford Dr., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., theismaili.orgThe Ismaili Centre at the Aga Khan Museum.
