S. Hussein: It is a distinct honour and privilege to lead the Legislative Assembly of the province of British Columbia in prayer today, prior to the throne speech.

Tuesday, February 10, 2015: Government of British Columbia requested the Ismaili Community to deliver a prayer prior to the commencement of the Throne Speech. The Throne Speech was delivered by the representative of the Queen of Canada, Elizabeth II.

This honour marks an important milestone for the Ismaili Muslim community in British Columbia to be represented in the Legislature.

1st day 4th session 40th British Columbia Legislature opened by Sura-al-Fatiha, recited by Ismaili Muslim Sherali Hussein.
