Matt Reed, CEO Aga Khan Foundation India introduces former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at Jaipur Literature Festival

Day four of Jaipur Literature Festival 2015 saw fans thronging in great numbers to hear Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam speak at Ford Samvad.

The afternoon’s Ford Samvad session with administrator, scientist and former Indian president , Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam possibly hosted the largest audience gathering ever seen at  Jaipur Literature Festival.

In his friendly address to youth and young minds, he motivated attendees to ‘become captain of the problem. Defeat the problem. And Succeed.’ while encouraging one and all to follow a dream through knowledge acquisition, hard work and perseverance.

Day four at Jaipur Literature Festival 2015 has been exciting and special owing to visionary and Bharat Ratna awardee , Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s presence at the ‘Ignited Minds’ session at Ford Samvad. Having always been a great inspiration to children and youth, Dr. Kalam shared his perspective s on children, and their potential to transform India into a powerful and energetic nation. He inspired and encouraged children to dream big, be brave to stand up and face difficulties to achieve what they set their hearts on.

Ford In India is working on a ‘Better World Vision’ through its ‘Happy Schools’ programme, which was introduced at Jaipur Literature Festival 2014. Nigel Harris, President and MD, Ford India and Matt Reid, CEO of Aga Khan Foundation were at Ford Samvad today.
