An ancient Viking gold coin collection was unearthed by two amateur archaeologists from a muddy ploughed field in Bornholm.
Frank Pelle and Bent Gregersen made the unique discovery after long hours of toil by using metal detectors.
The coin discovery was a priceless experience for the young archaeologists and they searched hundred hours for the treasure without any hope, Pelle said.
The young archeologists began their exploration after studying the x-rays of the collected earth samples, taken from Bornholms Museum. According to museum reports, almost 250 gold and silver coins were buried in the ground during 1080s.
As per the report, two Arabic gold dinars minted in 1040 in Egypt and in 1060 in Tunisia during the Fatimid dynasty are quite remarkable ones among the Viking treasure.
The young archaeologists said that the precious coin collection is exhibiting at Bornholm museum and it will be moved to the National Museum after some days.
