Rahim Rawji: Family with 100 years of combined tailoring experience

Rahim Rawji: Family with 100 years of combined tailoring experienceRow-G: Made to measure menswear, Johannesburg: http://www.row-g.com/

After some catching up with Dion Chang I came to learn a little about this menswear brand called Row-G, a family run business headed by Rahim Rawjee, who is the brands Chief Creative Officer. The showroom was certainly nice enough, located in the newly renovated Quince street lofts at 44 Stanley, but what appeared to be the launch of an attempted local Tom Ford, turned out to be a lot more.

Only a decade ago Rawjee was designing ladieswear but decided that a break was necessary, to allow himself time to “grow up a little”. Clearly this was the right move because now he has returned better than before. The first thing I noticed about this man was how warmly he refers to his CEO as dad. The whole family seemed to be at the launch, happy to see the result of work years in the making.
