With gallery by Vancouverdesi.com: Burnaby’s cancer support group for Ismaili women, Team Salama, raised nearly $50,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society at their fifth annual fundraising gala last weekend.
Nearly 500 people came out for the fundraising dinner on Saturday at Surrey’s Crown Royal Banquet Hall. At the end of the night Team Salama presented the Canadian Cancer Society with a cheque for $46,948.
