GENEVA, SWITZERLAND — The Aga Khan Foundation, in collaboration with Mahita, a local NGO, and the Aga Khan Academy, will develop and test a model to reach out-of-school minority youth with secondary education scholastic support as well as soft-skills and job training opportunities to improve their employment prospects. As a result of the project out-of-school girls and boys in Hyderabad will be able to complete their secondary schooling and learn skills that will prepare them for employment. Emphasis will be placed on recruiting and retaining at least 50 percent girls in the program.

The MacArthur Foundation awarded Aga Khan Foundation $250,000 between 2003 and 2014.
