The headquarters of Avicenna, the independent pharmacy support group, is inconspicuous, embedded in a row of shops dotted along a busy high street in south Croydon.
It takes a while to locate but the sudden presence of Salim Jetha, the group’s loquacious chief executive, acts as a reassuring guide. “Ah there you are Neil. Hope you haven’t been out here long,” comes the characteristically animated yet warm voice as the tall lean figure looms into view.
