MET Schools of Management faculty, Dr. Farida Virani has been appointed as Programme Facilitator of the UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) – Empretec Programme for India.
In partnership with the Office of the National Director of Empretec’s India, she would be contributing towards the installation and development of Empretec’s national building programmes in the country. Since its formation in 1988, Empretec has expanded to 34 countries, trained over 300000 entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and stakeholders in keeping with the United Nations’ guidelines and best practices. Empretec contributes to economic growth and progress by promoting an entrepreneurial culture not only in entrepreneurs but also in forward-looking governments and in trans-national companies. Empretec has strong CSR credentials and considers entrepreneurship as a way out of poverty. Empretec is managed globally by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and hosted by International Business Facilitators (IBF) in India.
