Dr. Abdulla is married to Faiza, a nurse, and has three children, Adil, Iman, and Alim. He is the oldest of four children, with a brother who is a massage therapist, a sister who is an occupational therapist and another sister who is an optometrist. Both his parents and in-laws are alive and well. He happily lives in the nation’s capital, Ottawa. He is a badminton enthusiast, a movie buff, and part time TV host. He is multi-angular in his interests and pursuits.

On a vocational angle, he is a comprehensive family doctor, palliative, sports and travel medicine consultant and assistant professor. He teaches medical students, internationally trained doctors, residents, nurses and nurse practitioners the joy of primary care. He was awarded the Outstanding Family Physician for Eastern Ontario in 2008.
