
Building a democratic state governed by the rule of law requires training the next generation of public and local self-government authorities. This was the focus of a national round table on Local Economic Development: Potential and Prospects organised by the University of Central Asia (UCA) and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on 11 March 2014 in Bishkek.
The event was attended by Nurkhan Momunaliyev, Chief of Staff, Government of the Kyrgyz Republic; Esengul Isakov and Abdumutalip Kochkorbayev, Members of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic; Naken Kasiyev, Director of the State Agency for Local Government and Interethnic Relations; Bahtiyarzhan Fattakhov, Deputy Director of the State Personnel Service; Jetigen Bakirov, Moderator; fourty specialists from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy, and 70 heads of ayil-okmotu from Naryn, Batken and Osh.
