Sahar Bhanji is now eight years old. She has been growing her hair since August 2012, when she was only six, with the hope of donating it to the Angel Hair for Kids program through A Child’s Voice Foundation. The Angel Hair for Kids program provides wigs and hair loss solutions to financially disadvantaged children in Canada who have lost their hair due to a medical condition or treatment.
On March 11, 2014 Sahar, along with her parents went to the foundation to drop off the hair, and Ashley Rowe and Scott Laurie from CTV News were there too. Ashley interviewed Sahar and the segment was on CTV News and The National on march 11, 2014 at 6pm and again at 11pm on Channel 8.
