Almas Jiwani, President of UN Women National Committee Canada, will receive the Outstanding Women Leadership Achievement Award from the World Women Leadership Congress on Friday, February 14th in Mumbai, India.
“It is a great honour to be recognized especially with the tremendous caliber of women leaders in the world today. This recognition symbolizes how far women have come, however, it also highlights how far we still have to go. It is only when women are recognized in all spheres of society as equal partners to their male counterparts that we will have truly achieved the ultimate reward–equality,” said Ms. Jiwani.
