via camara.org – Camara was awarded a Certificate of Partnership at the Annual National Education Conference in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia last week. Presented on live television by the Minister of Education, His Excellency Ato Shiferaw Shigute, the award is in recognition of Camara’s outstanding contribution in the Education Sector Development in Ethiopia during 2013.
Shakeel Padamsey, Country Director of Camara Ethiopia, accepted the Certificate at the conference. It was an opportunity for those involved in the Ethiopian education sector to reflect on the successes and challenges of the previous year, as well as discuss upcoming plans and objectives.
Shakeel joined the Camara Team in August 2010 and is the CEO at Camara Ethiopia. He is also responsible for developing and building the Management Information System for the Camara Hubs. Prior to joining Camara, Shak worked in the Skills Funding Agency (Department of Business, Innovation and Skills) in the UK developing performance indicators for the Further Education sector. He has a BSc in Psychology and Philosophy, with his thesis in neuro-linguistics – and has a background in educational performance analysis and management.
