More than 650 participants showed their commitment to end global poverty by participating in the annual San Francisco Partnership Walk Oct. 13 at Lake Elizabeth here and raising over $275,000 for AKF USA programs worldwide.
The San Francisco Partnership Walk is an initiative of Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. to raise awareness and funds that reduce poverty, hunger, illiteracy and poor health in Africa and Asia.
One hundred percent of the funds raised at the Partnership Walk go directly to projects supported by the Foundation; not a cent is spent on administration, according to a press release.
