On Nov. 6, AU celebrates the multi-million dollar success of 29-year-old MBA alumnus Moiz Bhamani with a Rising Star Award.
Not everyone has the courage to grow a business during an economic recession. Moiz Bhamani (MBA, 2012) did — and now, at age 29, he has a multi-hundred million dollar company to show for it.
Athabasca University’s 2013 Rising Star Award recipient sharpened his entrepreneurial skills and turned tough times into opportunity, capitalizing on his MBA program to tap into the insights and experience of people who’d seen it all before.
“I truly tested my spirit,” says Bhamani, chief executive officer of Prime Real Estate Group. “But they were exciting times and, arguably, built who I am and what my company is today. It was the time to build the culture, the thinking, and to understand why I started the business in the first place.
