Lessons from a Remarkable Achiever: Rudy Karsan's Interview with Connie Chung

Every once in a while as we go through life, a really memorable event occurs which reminds us how fortunate we are. I want to share one such experience I had last Thursday. Due to the natural coincidence of my having won the Realizing the American Dream award from the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians earlier this year, and a fundraising event they were organizing, I was given the opportunity and the honor of interviewing Connie Chung, the award-winning reporter/anchor who has been one of the most recognizable faces on television.

What a remarkable woman! She regaled us with stories about the early days of television and her struggle to break through into an industry completely controlled by white males at the time about 30 years ago. Listening to her stories and talking to her made me experience a few A-ha moments:
