HYDERABAD: The city will see the formal inauguration of a full fledged International Academy next week.
The Aga Khan Academy, near the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, will be inaugurated on September 20 in the presence of Union human resource development (HRD) minister Pallam Raju and chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
The campus currently has over 350 students studying in classes I to XII and is the only international school in the city which offers International Baccalaureate syllabus and is not affiliated with local and national boards in the country. The IB syllabus is accepted as a standard across the globe as the grading is supposedly better than the national curriculum by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Aga Khan, the founder and chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network would also be in the city on the day of the inauguration, officials said.
