The Royal College is happy to introduce you to the newly appointed Associate Director, Assessment, Farhan Bhanji, MD, MHPE, FRCPC. Beginning August 1, 2013, he will be responsible for facilitating the design and delivery of sound examination and assessment tools and technologies which will support summative examinations and summative and formative work based assessments.
Dr. Bhanji is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at McGill University and a CanMEDS Clinician Educator at the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. In addition to being a full time clinician, he is an active researcher with over 50 peer reviewed abstracts and manuscript publications over the past 3 years, and is (co-) supervising over a dozen residents and Masters’ students. He was the recipient of the inaugural Richard and Sylvia Cruess Faculty Scholar in Medical Education at McGill (educational research) and served as a Visiting Professor at the Medical Education Development Center of Gifu University, Japan from January to March 2013.
