Since I returned back to Dhaka in January, I’ve switched gear (a positive change from working on the Organizational Development component of the project!) and have been working with the Program Development Team. For the month of January, our focus was preparing for a 3-week long early childhood development teachers and supervisors training (i.e. the reason I was in Sylhet).
Preparing for and participating in part of the training were definitely the highlights of the work I have completed for my fellowship with the Aga Khan Foundation Bangladesh. It was great to finally work on a more collaborative aspect of the project, work with very friendly and helpful colleagues and learn more about topics in early childhood development. As an added bonus, one of the closest staff I worked with is immigrating to Canada with her family in June … and will likely be living only one subway stop away from my new house!
