Aleema Shivji is the director of Handicap International UK, which is an aid organisation working with people with disabilities in areas of poverty, conflict and disaster.

She has worked with the organisation since 2005 in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean. Before taking over as director she headed up the organisation’s programme in Haiti.
