The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Study ‘Philanthropy in Pakistan – A Report of the Initiative on Indigenous Philanthropy – 2000’ gave confidence that philanthropy could indeed become a leading source of funding for social development, supplementing the government’s efforts.
